Breaking Ground with Purpose: The DRS Foundation Supports Billy’s Place at the Harbor Park Groundbreaking
This week marked an exciting milestone for our community as LGE & Creation hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for the Harbor Project, a development that will bring new opportunities, spaces, and growth to the area.
As part of this special day, we were proud to present a $10,000 donation to Billy’s Place—a local nonprofit doing transformative work for families navigating life after loss.
Supporting Healing and Hope with Billy's Place, Inc.
Billy’s Place is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate community for children and families experiencing grief. Located in the West Valley, Billy’s Place offers peer support groups, grief education, and community resources—all at no cost to families in need.
Founded in 2012, the organization was created to address the deep emotional needs that follow the death of a loved one. Rather than traditional therapy alone, Billy’s Place focuses on peer support and community connection, giving children, teens, and their families the space to express their feelings, share experiences, and begin healing together.
Through programs like monthly Grief Peer Support Groups, Grief Informed Schools, and a Grief Resource Center, Billy’s Place serves hundreds of individuals each year—helping them navigate one of life’s most challenging journeys with dignity and understanding.
A Meaningful Partnership
At the Harbor Project groundbreaking, representatives from LGE & Creation had the honor of presenting the $10,000 donation to the team from Billy’s Place. This support will help strengthen the nonprofit’s core programs, expand outreach efforts, and ensure that even more families facing grief can access the healing support they deserve.
