Project Build Hope

The David R. Sellers Foundation invites nonprofits who demonstrate a need for design-build services to submit a letter of interest for our 2023 - 2024 capital grant cycle. We are seeking one nonprofit located in the Phoenix County and one nonprofit located in Dallas, Texas.


The Award

The recipient will receive full schematic design and consultation services. Services may include site analysis, master planning, conceptual design, interior design ETC. The recipient will also receive a capital grant of a minimum of $50,000. The DRS Foundation will partner with the chosen organization to plan a fundraiser event. All the money raised at the event will go entirely to the grant recipient.

 

Evaluation Criteria

Your organization must meet the following criteria in order to apply for the capital grant from the David R. Sellers Foundation. 

  • Organization must have a 501(c)3 status

  • Demonstrate a strong need for design-build services 

  • Organization serves and focuses on the betterment of those in need 

  • If based in Arizona, organization is located in the greater Phoenix community 

  • If based in Texas, organization is located in Dallas

  • Demonstrate potential for continued operation beyond support by the DRS Foundation

  • Submit a letter that follows the LOI outline

  • The chosen recipient understands they are required to submit an interim grant report

  • The chosen recipient understands they are required to submit a final grant report

 

The Process

June 1st - Grant Application Form Opens

September 1st - Grant Application Form Closes at 5pm

December 1st - Partnership Announced; Grant Recipient is chosen

February 1st - Schematic Design and Budget Complete

May 1st - Fundraising complete and capital grant awarded

Applications are due by September 1st, 2023, and close promptly at 5pm. Any submissions made after the deadline will not be considered.
